Photographing Karlye Alfonso Johnson for The Darkness Dealt was more than a photoshoot—it was a collaboration, a conversation, and a creative translation of her story from words into images. Through moody lighting, intentional styling, and raw, unposed moments, we created portraits that don’t just show her—they feel her. This session reminded me why I’m passionate about telling the stories of women—stories of resilience, strength, and transformation.
